I first heard the sounds of
The Mantles streaming over one of my favorite online radio stations,
Wub-Fur Radio, a few days ago. I instantly fell in love with their fuzz-to-jangle ratio, pop-sensibility and 80s paisley underground influence (at least that's what I'm calling it). And guess where their from?...the Bay Area (yet again). If I hear one more kick-ass band from northern Cali I'm just going to have to sign a lease on a second apartment in Oakland. Sheesh. Get it
